Fairness 4 Fans - faq's
4. Are football clubs guilty of blackmail?
Partly, yes. Clubs know that fans are in love with their team and that if they keep putting prices up; fans will continue to pay. Some fans believe they have no choice and believe it would be like turning their back on the club. It is this loyalty which clubs abuse and take for granted.
Can we say no to being blackmailed and still support the club?
Yes. You no longer have to feel like you are turning your back on the club because you are not threatening to stay away, you
are voting for lower prices. If you elect to buy tickets when they are at a more realistic price, then ticket prices will fall and
attendances will be up.
VOTE FOR LOWER PRICES
VOTE FOR HIGHER ATTENDANCES
All that is needed is a general consensus amongst fans to set the maximum price for tickets (even if it's for only part of the ground to start with).
