Fairness 4 Fans - faq's
6. How can I bring football ticket prices down?
Only buy a ticket if its £20 or less! With so many fans not buying tickets when the price is over £20, clubs will have no choice but to drop prices to a fairer price.
of course, clubs don't want to be fair, because they are a business. But, like all businesses, if they take more sales from £20 tickets than they do from £30 tickets, then they will drop prices!
e.g.
15,000 @ £25 = £375k
20,000 @ £20 = £400k
The above figures show that clubs could earn more money from dropping prices.
Of course, this is not just about dropping prices and hoping more fans turn up. It's also about staying away until the price drops to a fair price (otherwise ticket prices will continue to rise).
It is not enough to sign a petition or write to the club/local paper - clubs won't listen to that - there is only 1 way to vote - vote with YOUR FEET.
